Why you should open a Paypal account

Hiya

We've been receiving a lot of feedback asking about alternative methods of payment. Most customers are asking would a Maybank2U transfer be acceptable as this is readily accessible for them.

Although paying with debit or credit card via Paypal without signing up is possible,

We would like to encourage customers to consider opening a Paypal account. Aside from being secure and free to use for customers:

1) Paypal to Paypal transfers are always quicker than bank transfers

2) Your personal details will not be disclosed to Saudagar UK or any other merchant online: with bank transfers, your name, address, SWIFT codes and all other personal details are revealed. This is easily avoidable via Paypal.

3) Refund-friendly: there will be moments when the item you have ordered is out of stock or unavailable by the time you have made your payment to us (especially with high turnover websites like Preloved.co.uk, Ebay etc). Refunds via Paypal are easily done within 60 days of payment without the need for more bank fees. Here is a Paypal website screen shot of what to expect in refunds: (this is from the business' point of view, not the customer)

4) Foreign Telegraphic Transfers (TT) usually incur a relatively hefty fee on both sides of the transaction. Maybank currently charges RM10 per transaction and UK banks can charge up to £25 to receive international payments. This is not economical for both customers and Saudagar UK - this is why we haven't included a TT option in our payment method. You could do many things with that £25!

5) For Malaysian customers: Paypal now supports withdrawing cash to Malaysian bank accounts. This is a list of Malaysian banks supported by Paypal:

(older comments can be helpful to read)

We think it is best for customers to open Paypal accounts for smooth online transactions, we urge customers to first understand how it all works before opening an account (takes some time but definitely worth knowing up front), ask trustworthy people you know who has a Paypal account for guidance or look up Paypal FAQs.

Here is the latest news on November 2nd 2011, Paypal has chosen Malaysia to be its Southeast Asian Support Center site. We can see this can only clarify things better for our customers!
